Vinita public schools

One of Vinita's biggest assets is access to outstanding educational opportunities. From 3 years and up, the littlest Vinita residents have outstanding opportunites from public and private schools. High school students and adults have an array of choices when choosing vocational or other educational courses. This access to eduation and workforce training makes Vinita a prime location for new residents and businesses.

Vinita Public Schools     http://www.vinitahornets.com/

Vinita Public Schools is a great place to teach and for your child to get a quality education.  In our elementary schools we have 4 to 5 classes per grade level, averaging 18 students per class.  Our middle school and high school have approximately 100 students per grade level.

We are a one to one technology school with chromebooks from second grade and up and touch pads for first grade and down.  We continually update our technology but believe that our teacher to student classroom experience is the best education we can offer.

We have some beautiful facilities and continue to search ways for our students to be involved in activities of all kinds.  Our high school has the normal extracurricular activities that include a National Award Winning Vocational Education Department, a Service Learning Class that is a great benefit to our community, and a STEM Lab.  We also have a well rounded athletic program for both men and women and an academic bowl team in both our middle school and high school.

We have a little over 1200 students PreK through 12th grade.  We have 102 certified teachers that are paid above the state minimum, get their retirement paid, health insurance, vision and dental plans paid on top of the base salary.

Our community is very supportive of our schools and have passed the last two bond issues to approve our facilities for our students and faculty.  Since 2012 we have built a new elementary school, a new fieldhouse, a new wrestling practice facility, an addition on our vocational education building, a baseball dressing and storage facility, paved parking lots and resurfaced our track.

Vinita Public Schools will strive to keep the greatest facilities and the best staff for our students.  We work to get better everyday and will continue to make our community proud to be a HORNET!

Cowboy Junction Christian School     https://cowboyjunction.org/school/

Cowboy Junction Christian School (CJCS) was birthed in 2004 from a desire to put kids in touch with the God of Hope. Our desire is to be an extension of the Christian home. We are never in competition with any group or school. CJCS provides small classrooms, state certified teachers, excellent lunch, and a family-like God-centered loving approach to education. We offer Bob Jones curriculum in our Kindergarten-8th grade classrooms. Study Island is available in 3rd-8th grades.  Because of our small class size, misbehavior is rarely a problem. Instead, we enjoy a loving, accepting environment where children can learn and develop. They know they are loved and accepted.

Cowboy Junction Preschool is a great way to introduce education to the youngest of minds. Children who are 3-4 years of age can participate in a fun-filled program designed especially for them. The preschool area is separate from the school age kids in a new building with special care given to safety and security. The preschool building is monitored by video for an added sense of security for our parents.
