Animal Control
Animal Control is dedicated to protecting the citizens of the City of Vinita from rabies and reducing the incidence of animal-inflicted injuries by promoting responsible pet ownership through public education and the enforcement of animal control laws. Vinita Animal Control is a division of the City of Vinita government.

Dog Ownership
Licenses for Dogs are required within the City of Vinita. Licenses are available from City Hall. Owners are responsible for keeping their animals properly confined.
Dog Licenses
- $10.00 for any Male or Female Dogs
- $5.00 for any replacement tag
If your dog is caught roaming free, it will be impounded and owners will be subject to fines & penalties. If you are missing a dog and think it might have been picked up by Vinita Animal Control, please come by the City Office. We keep a list of dogs with pictures that are held in our Animal Control holding facility. The Animal Control facility is not open to the public but the town office will have all needed information.
