Earth Day Activities Successful

Free dump week, sponsored by the Vinita Utilities Authority during the week of Earth Day, was a great success with 267 residents and businesses taking part.  More than 116 tons of trash was disposed of as part of the annual effort to do 'spring cleaning' in Vinita.  "Our solid waste department did a fantastic job," said Mayor Chuck Hoskin. "I also appreciate the Rotarians for all of their help on Saturday in assisting even more citizens. Our goal of cleaning up our town is moving forward."
